How much is the security deposit?

When a room is secured we ask for a £50 holding fee for that room, this will then be put towards your £300 refundable security deposit, so we would request £250 in August after you have received your refunded deposit from your previous property.

Do you use a Deposit Protection Scheme?

All deposits are lodged with My Deposits which is a Government authorised deposit protection scheme.

How many weeks is a contract for?

The contracts are for 47 weeks, starting on the 1st September and finishing on the 31st July. There is no summer retainer.

Is it possible to stay in the property over summer?

Should you wish to stay in Carlisle during August and live in the property then that can be arranged, please discuss your requirements with us.

What is the payment plan for rent?

We request termly payments:

  • 7th September
  • 7th January
  • 7th April

However, we are happy to discuss alternative payment plans should your funding not be termly.

Will I need a Guarantor?

We will request a Guarantor form be completed and returned to us along you’re your Tenancy Agreement.

Can I store my stuff in my room prior to the contract starting?

If we can accommodate this and make your move easier then we will, please contact us to discuss.

Who do I contact if there is a fault or maintenance issue?

Our Student Accommodation Manager greets all our new tenants and makes monthly property visits to make sure any issues are dealt with in a swift and efficient manner and is always on hand to answer any queries you may have. We also have a maintenance team that provides a high quality service 24/7. All contact details are available in the property and are also e-mailed to each tenant.
